Your Arcadia Dentist Uses Laser Dentistry
August 26, 2015
There are some things in dentistry that I’ll admit just don’t feel good. Cavities, extractions and root canals got their reputation for a reason. For a lot of years, that pain was just an unfortunate reality of repairing dental problems.
But what if I told you things were changing? And that now, pain-free dental procedures were more possible than ever?
I think you’ll be excited to hear the good news. A lot of advancements have been made over the last decade to make maintaining your mouth health as painless as possible. First on that list is the rise in the use of the laser. That’s right–at our Arcadia office, we use advanced laser technology to make your dental procedure virtually painless. (And using lasers also makes us feel pretty cool.)
Advanced laser technology is a minimally-invasive option that gives your dentist super-precise, efficient control over the treatment area. That means that with this option, you can forget painful scalpels and sutures. The laser’s wavelength is very predictable and causes little heat, which means it’s highly unlikely that any surrounding tissue will be affected. The laser often eliminates the need for anesthesia, too, which means you’ll be in and out of the dentist’s chair, with no time spent waiting for that sluggish “drugged” feeling to wear off after your procedure.
Advanced Laser Technology Uses
Our office uses advanced laser technology in a variety of ways to make your dental procedure as quick, effective and painless as possible. We use it to harden dental materials, detect decay, prepare teeth for fillings and even to activate the whitening gel we use to whiten your smile. It’s also extremely effective in dealing with gum disease, root canal cleaning and more. In just a few words, that tiny laser makes our job easier–and our patients happier.
Patients Are Excited About Laser Technology
We’ve already had many patients who have benefitted from this new technology. One of our patients told us that she had had many fillings in her life, and all had been “novacained.” After her first experience having anesthetic-free fillings done at our office with advanced laser technology, she just had one word to describe it: incredible.
“[My procedure] just took about twenty minutes, and I was in and out,” she says, smiling. “It was pain-free, and now I can head back to work!”

This woman’s emotional reaction is not unique. Our patients are always thrilled with the efficiency and precision of our advanced laser technology, and we know you will be, too. Advanced laser technology is just one way we prove we’re leading the way in providing you with the best dental treatment possible. If you’d like more information, don’t hesitate to contact our office to talk to us today.
